ACSO deputies investigate fatal motorcycle crash on State Street

A 47-year-old Emmett motorcyclist died Sunday afternoon after he collided with a Sports Utility Vehicle on State Street near the Horseshoe Bend Road intersection.

The crash occurred just after 1:30 p.m.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will publicly identify the man who died at a later time.

The motorcyclist was trying to turn eastbound on to State Street from Jennie Lane when he pulled out in front of an SUV that was headed westbound on State Street.

The force of the collision knocked over the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he was declared dead a short time later. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Traffic on State Street was backed up for several hours Sunday as deputies investigated what happened. No charges or citations have been filed in connection with the crash.

  1. Everyone that knew Lance loved him. What was not to love? Taken from us way before his time and way before we were prepared for his absence in our lives. A piece of him lives on in all of us…. The piece that loved the freedom he got riding his harley…. Wind in his hair…. Smile on his face. Disturbed playing full blast from the radio.
    I love you Lance.
    Your human pitbull.
    Down with the sickness!!!
